Destroy the Core
Breach the enemy base, arm the bomb and survive the final countdown.
PvPvE · Looter-shooter · Fortnite
Fight, explore and gear up. Infiltrate the enemy base, arm the bomb and defend it until their Core is destroyed.
The game
Core Strike pits two teams of up to five players against each other. To win, push into the rival base, activate the bomb at its energy Core and hold the position through the countdown.
The route to the objective is yours to choose. Engage the opposing team immediately or explore the PvE spaces first, defeat creatures and bosses, collect stronger loot and resources, then choose the right moment to strike.
Vehicles, parkour and platforming areas, aerial paths and alternate routes turn movement and map knowledge into strategic tools. You can even tame wild wolves by feeding them and bring them into battle.

Press release
The new PvPvE looter-shooter combines team combat, PvE, exploration and loot in an experience inspired by classic multiplayer FPS games.
Spain, August 18, 2026 — Core Strike, a new PvPvE experience developed in Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN), is now available for free in Fortnite with island code 8201-7463-6162.
Core Strike pits two teams of up to five players against each other with one clear objective: infiltrate the enemy base, activate a bomb at its energy Core and defend it until detonation.
But reaching the enemy Core is only one part of the match.
The map combines direct competition between both teams with a PvE environment that players can use to gain an advantage. Creatures and bosses guard better weapons and resources, while vehicles, alternate routes, platforming and parkour areas provide different ways to move across the arena and reach enemy territory.
Players can even tame wild wolves by feeding them, recruiting the animals to help their team in combat.
The match is not simply about eliminating the opposing team. Exploring, improving your loadout, deciding when to face environmental enemies and finding the right moment to attack the rival Core are all part of the strategy.
Core Strike aims to recapture some of the feeling of classic objective-based multiplayer FPS games while incorporating the freedom, mobility and PvE possibilities offered by Fortnite.
The final objective is always inside enemy territory.
To win, a team must reach the rival base, press the button that arms the Core bomb and hold the position as the countdown begins. The defending team then has one final opportunity to retake its base before the Core is destroyed.
This creates a natural progression during each match: players can attack immediately or invest time exploring the map, fighting creatures and bosses and securing better equipment before attempting the decisive assault.
Core Strike is designed for 5v5 matches, but games can begin with fewer players so the action can start even when the lobby is not full.
Core Strike was independently created by Hicham Saoud, a Spanish professional with more than two decades of experience across software development and videogames. Core Strike is his first release developed entirely in UEFN and Verse.
“With Core Strike, I wanted to create a game with an objective that is very easy to understand, while giving players freedom to decide how to reach it. You can confront the other team directly, explore for better weapons, fight bosses or find other routes into their base. Everything happening on the map ultimately revolves around one simple idea: reach the enemy Core and destroy it.” — Hicham Saoud
